All portraits are done in oil paint, a medium that is incredibly high quality and will last a lifetime.  Pricing is based on quality, size, and detail, as well as the amount of time each painting generally takes to complete.  Each portrait is custom and unique.  Before I start painting, we will discuss your preferences, and talk more so that I can get to know you and your child. I will take several pictures to use as a reference while painting, if able, or else I will ask for pictures with specific lighting if you live out of town.  Most importantly, I will get to know whoever I am painting to make sure that their unique personality shines through in the portrait.
